Layering Guide: After cleansing the skin with your Rose’ All Day Gentle Foaming Cleanser, rinse with lukewarm water and pat the skin dry with a clean towel.  Next apply your Morning Glory Serum to the face (4 to 5 drops), neck, and decollete (4 to 5 drops).  Feeling a slight tingling sensation is normal, and should subside.  Allow the serum to absorb for a few minutes; then apply your Skin Drink Daily Moisturizer, followed by your favorite sunscreen (our pure mineral sunscreen is coming soon!).

About Using Your Serum: Best Practices

Apply in the morning only, to dry skin (not damp).  Avoid touching the dropper to your skin.  Instead, either let the drops fall onto your skin, or dispense a few drops into the palm of your hand and then press the product onto the skin.  This way your dropper stays clean and you can prevent bacterial contamination of the product (which could shorten its shelf life).

Always wear sunscreen daily, as the antioxidants in your serum work to help boost protection against UV rays when combined with SPF.

Pro tip: apply one to two drops of your serum to the tops of your hands at night before bed, to help fade dark spots over time.  For a “hand facial” allow the serum to soak in for 5 minutes, then apply your favourite hand moisturizing cream.

How to store your serum: it’s very important to store your serum in a cool, dry place (avoid temperature extremes) that is protected from light.  Once opened, be sure to close the bottle so that it is well sealed after each use.

Natural vitamin C (ascorbic acid) serums can vary in color from clear, to pale yellow, to amber.  This is due to the natural gradual oxidation of the vitamin C.  It is ok to use your serum throughout these phases, as the formula remains effective, but it is best to use up a bottle within 6 months of opening it. Use 4 to 5 drops on the face, and 4 to 5 drops on the neck and decollete.  It is normal to feel a slight tingling sensation on the skin immediately after application.  This should subside after a few seconds.  If your skin is sensitive, we recommend doing a patch test on a small area of skin first for a day or two to ensure your skin is tolerating the serum.  If you use acids, exfoliants, or retinol/retinoids at night, you may find your skin is slightly more sensitive the next morning.  In this case, you may want to consider cycling your nighttime active ingredients so that your skin is more resilient and can tolerate a potent serum.
