Layering Guide: Use your Beauty Sleep at night.  After your double-cleanse with Refresh Micellar Water followed by Rose’ All Day Gentle Foaming Cleanser, first apply your Skin Drink Daily Moisturizer; and then your Beauty Sleep Hydrating Night Cream.  If your skin isn’t feeling dry, you can skip the Skin Drink and apply your Beauty Sleep after cleansing.

Note: Because our Beauty Sleep night cream does not contain any added perfumes or fragrances, you may note a slight smell from the rosehip seed oil.  This smell has been described as earthy, herbal, nutty, tangy (like a mild cinnamon scent), cold tea or mustard scent, or like autumn leaves.  These are all normal for rosehip seed oil (it does not smell floral since it comes from the seeds not the rose flowers).

FAQ: Can I use retinoids or retinol at the same time as my Beauty Sleep night cream?

Yes!  If you find your skin on the drier side while using a retinoid, our favourite method is what is called the “retinol sandwich” method.  How to do it: on clean dry skin (not damp) apply your Skin Drink Daily Moisturizer.  Next apply a pea sized amount of your fav retinol/retinoid.  Wait a couple of minutes, then lastly apply your Beauty Sleep night cream to seal it all in.  This can help you to avoid or reduce the dryness and irritation that can occur while using retinoids/retinol products.  (of course, if you are new to retinol, remember to start low and go slow).
