Hello and welcome to RX Youth Skincare!  I´m Dr. Holly Barko, the founder of RX Youth.  I´m over the moon to finally bring you my custom-formulated simple anti-aging skincare line, which I´ve been working on developing for the past 4 years.  It´s been a labor of love, and I can´t wait for you to try it out.

I began my medical career by attending medical school at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas.  But long before I became a doctor, I was a skincare junkie.  I´ve tried out dozens of products and brands from around the world over the years, and have learned what works and what doesn´t.  As early as age 4, I began making potions in my mom’s bathroom (much to her dismay 😉). Perhaps this was foreshadowing…

I completed my internship in Internal Medicine at Presbyterian Hospital Dallas, followed by a residency in anesthesiology, critical care, and pain management at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. I then returned to Dallas to begin a job in private practice. A few years into practice, it began to weigh on me how much our medical care revolves around treating an illness once it has appeared (as opposed to emphasizing preventive care), with a heavy focus on the use of pharmaceuticals and surgeries. I began to study functional and anti-aging medicine in 2018, which uses a more integrative approach to healthcare, with a strong emphasis on prevention and lifestyle changes. I completed a fellowship in Anti-Aging, Metabolic, and Functional Medicine and became board-certified in this specialty in 2020. I´ve also completed extensive training in aesthetic medicine, becoming skilled at performing aesthetic injections and consulting with clients on skincare and anti-aging treatments. I was the medical director for Advanced Skin Fitness, a medical spa in Dallas, Texas, from 2018 to July 2023; and have since joined the former owner of ASF (William Moore) as medical director at his new clinic- AdvancedYOU Dallas (Bio-Hacking and Wellness).

It has been a long-time dream of mine to create my own skincare line that is simple, made with medical-grade ingredients, and has no frills.  I was actively involved in the research, development, and formulation of my products, with an amazing team of cosmetic chemists.  After years of hard work, a few bumps along the road, and many samples later, it´s finally here!  I´m so grateful for the wonderful and talented people I´ve worked with who have helped me make this dream a reality.  I can´t wait for you to experience anti-aging skincare made simple, with RX Youth.  Are you ready for your glowup? 😊
